Georges Méliès (December 8, 1861 – January 21, 1938), full name Marie-Georges-Jean Méliès, was a French filmmaker famous for leading many technical and narrative developments in the earliest cinema. He was born in Paris, where his family manufactured shoes.
Como el cuento de los ratoncitos y el zapatero, George creía en un mundo de fantasía, donde criaturas increíbles habitaban la tierra y mundos fantásticos nos rodeaban.
Imaginar y creer que algo es posible y trabajar para verlo en su esplendor es lo que aprendí de Méliés. Sin doblegarse a las negativas de la época o a los falsificadores, este director y productor de cine creo toda una industria. En un momento de crisis donde todo estaba por hacerse.
